This is my 4th or 5th stay at the Bogota Regency and it continues to be the best value in my opinion for a business class hotel in Bogota. Conveniently located on the main corner of Ave. 7 and Calle 129 on the North area of Bogota...everyone knows how to find it. From here you can walk to so many places such as Usaquen, UniCentro Mall, various grocery stores such as Carulla one block away.

The rooms are cozy, carpeted with large closets and the best beds and bedding I have seen in Latin America. huge soft pillows and very reliable and fast wireless internet service. The breakfast buffet is included with cooked to order eggs a la gusto, waffles or pancakes, a variety of juices and nice atmosphere for the buffet. The service is always with a smile everywhere in this hotel. The bartender Armando has worked here 7 years and is a good example of the personalized service you get. They also have a number of safe private taxis and service for pickup or dropoff at the airport.

I recommend higher floors for the view and getting above the street noise. The bathrooms are huge and hot water plentiful. The only thing I might suggest would be nicer, thicker towels as the think towels provided are the only thing "cheap" about this hotel. Oh...and a small coffee maker and iron/ironing board would be nice and don't seem to be available at the hotel...but there is a drycleaner/cleaners practically next door to the hotel. There is no gym or pool either if you need that.

You might find newer, more modern hotels in this city...but at current prices I don't think a better value can be easily found for the services and comfort provided.

Room Tip: Request rooms above the 7th floor. Street taxis and private taxis are plentiful at this location at...

The hotel is located on a very noisy street. There is no heating which is a problem when it's cold.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is good and the staff very very friendly. There are no restaurants nearby but you can walk to Usaquen where you can find all kind of food.

A very good Hotel, we did a trip to Guatavita lake arranged by the hotel with our own personal driver ( Thanks Edgar) this was the highlight of our stay, the location is at walking distance from nice bars and restaurants we will go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Slept on the 7th floor no complaints at all.

i really like this hotel, it is close to some malls and parks and there is planty to do locally, pan pa ya is around the corner for good pizza too! the rooms are clean and tidy, the building is easy to spot and therefore always easy to find if you are on foot. breakfast was good, i never ate dinner there. as a european traveller i am more concerned with people than gadgets, i think that the satff here were excellent, whenever i speak to north americans they seem to moan about a lack of air con and things like this, but i would trade that against good service. personally i dont really think you need air con in bogota and to be fair if it gets too warm open a window, i was 5 or 6 floors up and found an open window worked really well. i know this involves more effort than pressing a button as you actually have to get up and walk but consider it part of the south american adventure. this hotel is not going to blow you away, but it does offer good value and has all the basic standards needed to ensure a reasonable degree of comfort.

The hotel is nice enough and clean with good service in most areas. It is let down by its lack of air conditioning, so the hotel is quite cold all the time. This is a problem when the weather is cold.

Room Tip: Higher up the hotel floors offer better sleep quality
