If you enjoy colonial architecture, that is the place to be in Bogota. It is built on hilly area of the city so wear comfortable shoes. The Botero Museum is located there as well as other important buildings part of the Colombian history. Best time to visit is during daytime. I will not recommend visiting that part of town during the night if traveling solo, but if you are with a companion, no problem. Many good, small, charming restaurants are found in the area. It is adjacent to downtown area (centro), not very pretty area, too commercial.
