“Ok, great price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Stayed at the property 3 nights. Rooms are small, clean, and tranquil Location is great.
Hotel staff is helpful and friendly. Price was a bargain compared to other hotels in the area. Unfortunately, the rooms didn´t have irons, and had to go to another floor and iron in the hallway.

Like many other reviewers, i found that this hotel is affordable and well located in the centro internacional, right next to the national museum. The hotel is clean. I had no issues with service as the reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The museo del oro is a 30 minute walk away.
The rooms are small and very very basic. Expect nothing beyond the minimum. However there is no heating, so be prepared to walk down to reception and ask for a little electric heater on cold evenings. Brrrrr.
I had dinner once at the restaurant (also very cold) and they were missing a few items on the menu. Food was ok. Breakfast however is a huge huge letdown. Go anywhere else if you can, like the juan valdez in the museum next door.
All in all an affordable business hotel, but i wouldn't recommend it as there are more pleasant options in bogota.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor on the museum side

This is a real value. Price wise, it's hard to get anything better in Bogota. Not close to entertainment areas, but taxis are relatively inexpensive.
Rooms are small, but comfortable for 1 person.
Across the street you have the Museum, worth visiting. Try not to go on Sundays to avoid long lines.
Big setbacks is that 1) they don't have room service at all and 2) having to pay for a plain coffee in an Colombian hotel...

On my way to Frankfurt from Riohacha, I happened to stay one night in Bogota Ibis Museo. The room structure and amenities are absolutely similar to that of Ibis in Medellin. The bathroom had an unusual smell which offended me. However, the hotel is located in the downtown area which makes it centrally located and so the tariff is higher. The airport is nearby unless, there is a major traffic. The front desk staff manage decent English as Bogota being the capital city has more tourist and visitor inflow. Saul at the front desk has been particularly helpful in assisting me with directions and taxis. The breakfast is good too, particularly with the timing, 6am untill 11am. Overall, it was a short but good stay. And yes, Bogota is an amazing city.
