“Great choice on a budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2011

I stayed here for 4 nights in a shared 4 bedroom. I got lucky and had the room all to myself until the last night because it was slow during the weekdays in the rainy season. It was almost a little too quiet but the vibe and set up was nice with great staff and good location. I spent about $55 us on a 4 night stay which included the room, some internet use, beer and snacks...sweet deal.

This place is across the street from Universidad de Salle and is very walkable to many attractions and down the street from Bogota Bike Tours. Even though it was the rainy season, (which I had no clue until I got there, oh well) it was very comfortable. Enjoy!

This hostel is located in an excellent location if you plan to visit museums or the Monserrat in Bogota. The staff are pretty friendly, and there is breakfast offered on the morning. The showers are hot, and last long. My girlfiend and I staying in a private room with a private bathroom. The cost was about $70 per night which included all fees. Internet is available for about $1 per hour. We were able to tour certain sights outside the city, but you have to work hard to find someone to take you. Organized tours are somewhat hard to come by there. A very nice member of the staff took us to the Laguna De Guatavita, which we were happy to pay for. Little things that we did not care for as much were the pillows, lack of heat, lack of ceiling fixtures, etc. I would recommend staying in at night as a precaution, and it helps to be a heavy sleeper. For a hostel in Colombia, this a good place.

On our first night there were hostelers in the room next to ours playing music very loud and partying until 4am. Everyone else was asleep and there was 10 pm curfew. We could not sleep all night and the hostel asked them to stop but they continued anyway. We were promised it would not happen again the next night but they were allowed to stay another night and it happened again even though we we promised that they were being kicked out. VERY disappointed. Any other hostel would have banned them out of respect for their rules and other guests. Other than that the hostel was below average with smallest private rooms I have stayed in and not a lot to offer in terms of tourism.

The staff were friendly and all spoke excellent English. There were events such as a bbq and organised trip to Andres Carne de Res (restaurant out of town). Room was small and perhaps over priced but adequate. Shared bathrooms were ok, not as clean as they could have been, often no toilet paper. Loud music and boozing continued late into the night., probably best suited to younger travellers. Better location than Platypus, Sue etc in my opinion.

Nice and relatively clean. Upstairs bathroom were slightly neglect, cleaning-wise, compared to the downstairs bathroom, but no biggie. Shower were warm. Decent location. Most of the staff are friendly and don't act like tools.

Rooms were simple, and slightly dingy. I got a single room, which had a strong musty smell. Mattresses and bedding were comfortable, and the bathrooms were excellent. The staff was okay. They were nice enough, but did not go above and beyond what was required.

I stayed two nights at this hostel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the hostel was very clean. There are two computers for Internet access. True that taxi drivers do not know where it is - be sure to take the address. When you check in, grab one of the small black cards with the hostel's location on it - very useful. The key situation is a little weird - they don't have enough keys for all the guests in some of the rooms, but they can always unlock rooms for you when you leave your stuff locked in there. There are also lockers in the office that you can use - BYO lock or they can sell you one. The breakfast they offer is simple, but cheap and it's a good option if you've got an early flight.
