“Very Old Dynasty”

This place is still an archeological site and will be for the next 20 years. It is amazing what they have done here. 3500 BCE incredible. Be careful what you book i.e check and make sure that lunch is/isn't included as mine was included and I was charged 30B, I got the money back later. Bring your own drinks to the lunch stop as the lady charges 8B for the small coke that costs1B elsewhere.

“Could be another Wonder of the World”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2011

A really good experience into pre-Inca culture. It is essential to have a guide, who can explain the site. Would be wonderful to see this World Heritage site fully excavated.

This was the highlight of my trip to Bolivia. If you take a tour from La Paz, I highly recommend a private tour with tour guide Eduardo from the Rosario hotel- he made this visit unforgettable. Whatever you do, do not miss seeing Puma Punku nearby- it is absolutely unbelievable.

“Museum at Tiwanaku”

Visiting just recently the museum in Tiwanaku I noticed all skulls were removed from the display windows. It is sad because those one revealed all the talent of Tiwanaku primite surgeons to cure soldiers after battles or the traditional practice of deforming heads.
