I loved these little streets around the witches market. I found the area absolutely spell binding with the cobbled streets and the women in their traditional clothes, sitting outside these bewitching little shops selling all kinds of wonders....one of the most wonderful things you can buy are the stunning, colourful striped, hand loomed blankets made by the Aymara people. They are just beautiful!
Also they have soft alpaca blankets in neutral colors...these goods cost a fortune in the posh little new york boutiques, so it definitely worth snapping up a few of these...
I also bought a llama foetus from the witches market..she now sits on the mantelpiece of my suburban house as a testament to this marvelous place, a reminder of the exotic and the magical in the midst of middle England's gloom.
