Like other travellers below, I booked in here after 2 months arduous trekking around S America hoping for a bit of comfort and luxury and thinking an international chain would likely guarantee this. I was wrong and disappointed. My experience was that service was very poor (for example in the restaurant, having given up waiting for my bill, I went to the desk where I was then asked to list what I had had so they could prepare a bill - or the great bar "gizmo" where you press one button for service and another button for the bill ... but with neither does a member of staff turn up). If you don't speak any Spanish, this wasn't an easy hotel to be in - I overheard one Amercian gentleman trying, but failing, to order a beer - in the end he gave up. It could be a great hotel - but just misses completely on service which is a shame. On the upside, the food was good, particularly the breakfast and lunchtime buffets. A taxi into town costs about 7-8BS (or you can do the micros for 1BS) or, your resistance to the altitude permitting, you can walk into town in about 20-30 mins. There is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk from the hotel in the other direction from the town centre. The hotel does have a small fitness centre but like the other reviewers comment, it seemed like you had to walk through dark and long tunnels to get there - I did not return. The business centre was nothing more than computers with access to the internet - not what I would expect of a 5 star hotel. The executive lounge - utterly disappointing. The room was sterile and unwelcoming. When I asked for a drink, after a bit of pointing and gesturing, I learned that spirits with mixers were all that were available - no wine, no beer, no bubbly etc. This again did not reflect my experiences of other executive/club lounges at supposedly comparable 5 star hotels. After my week here, I checked out and went to another 5 star in town where I had the experience I had originally hoped for (check out at the Radisson was horribly slow which just cemented the whole experience as one I would not repeat).
