I went with my husband to spend a romantic vacation and the hotel was great ! Great rooms, great swimming pool and garden, and a great place to relax!
I would definitely go back again and recommend it to my friends!

This was a fantastic Hotel and we really enjoyed it. The bedrooms (we stayed in the Tower) were a little cramped but extremely well furnished and quite novel in their design. The gardens and pool area are fantastic and the breakfasts and lunches near the pool extremely good. We only ate at the restaurant once as there were lots of places in town to eat at but the food was excellent. I would have no problem in recommending this place to friends and would certainly stay there again.

Staying at L'Auberge is a fascinating experience. The service is excellent and the facilities are superb. People at L'Auberge certainly pay attention to detail. I spent time with my wife and we stayed at a wonderful european-like decorated spacious room. Large and comfortable beds, clean environment and all the facilities (i.e. minibar, tv, etc). We liked the quiet atmosphere and really got to rest.

We stayed for dinner several times at the hotel and the food is also great. We got a very personalized service while having dinner at the hotel, almost like if we were hosts of honour. At midday, near the pool, you can enjoy a traditional Uruguayan barbecue with fresh meat and fish with a variety of elaborated salads. Certainly a specialty. However you must definitely try out the waffles at tea time (I think it is a Belgium recipe). Amazing.

L'Auberge is a quiet place where you can relax and have a good time. It is magical in a sense because its like you are in a fine european hotel with a amazing gardens but with the added advantage of being in top resort, Punta del Este.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending L'Auberge whatsoever.

This hotel is located on beautiful grounds but is vastly overrated
The rooms are very small and old and are in dyer need to be upgraded. They were clean however. The breakfasts are below standard. Had dinner there on the first night and opted for one of their specials but was disappointed by its quality.
They don't know how to cook. On the recommendation of the
hotel staff we went to have dinner in town the next evening at a highly rated restaurant with much the same result.
One hotel staff member was rude and made our stay unpleasant.
Would we go back there again, the answer is no
