“Incredible stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

We visited Il Belvedere this past spring - coming from New York - (Oct 2014) and had a lovely stay. The rooms were enormous and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were only staying for one night and my boyfriend was very sick...the front desk was incredible, responding quickly to all our needs (thermometer, medicine, DVDs, calling us a doctor, asking how my bf was). Though it rained when we were there you could tell how beautiful the property was... I wish we'd had more time to explore the property. And the nearby beaches looked insanely beautiful. Anyway, if we visit Punta del Este again we will be sure to return to Il Belvedere!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the cheapest rooms available and they were still huge and so nice (a suite with a livin...

I went with my family (there are 4 of us) and we stayed a week and a half in one of the cabins. The experience was nothing short of amazing. The cabin was nicely furnished, modern but fitting with the brick and wood construction of the place. The beds were pretty comfortable and the living areas were spacious. The only minor grudge might have been that in the living room there was a bed with a few pillows instead of a couch, which was a minor bother but understandable due to the possibility of increased capacity. The kitchen was excellently supplied, with everything that could possibly be needed. When I went it was winter, and incredibly the cabin offered "loza radiante" (a system that heats the tiled floor using a ton of electricity), which was surprising, considering the exorbitant electricity prices in that country. Maybe the most surprising aspect was the breakfast, served in the upper floor of the main building with a beautiful view of the sea, which offered a wide arrange of options, including various fresh juices, exquisite bread, cakes, muffins, fresh fruit, and many other pastries. Last of all, the other facilities were great. Although we did not use the pool (due to all day temperatures of 15 degrees celsius), it was a beautiful sight. other facilities such as the game room, where vital in providing entertainment to our family when bored. Overall, it was well worth the price, and would definitely recommend it to most families.

Room Tip: All cabins are great, it simply depends on haw many people you are going with.

Another very easy review to write.

I still actually have one day left in my trip, but wanted to write this before I got back to Canada and got busy with the holiday period.

This is an incredible place. It is true, people really make the experience, and Graciela and her team make sure you feel welcome and any need is quickly taken care of. She not only helped me with my reservation, but also arranged for a cab to pick me up at the Punta del Este airport. I am studying Spanish so it was great practice for me to try to talk, but the staff also knows enough English, a couple are fluent, that communication was very easy. Everyone from the gardiners, to bell boys to front desk staff are Extremely friendly.....I truly enjoyed meeting them all.

The pool area is excellent! One heated pool and one non heated which was fantastic as it was +30 pretty much every day of my trip so the non heated pool was really refreshing. On the weekends they open up a bar/restaurant area outside by the pool.

The restaurant has a good menu, not huge, but more than enough to find something anyone would like. They also provide service to your cabin which I used quite a bit as it is not quite high season so the restaurant area was a little quiet.

There are some friendly pieces of nature flying around the entire time and it just adds to the ambiance. True log cabin living with the ocean/beach right across the street.

I want to thank Graciela and her entire staff for treating me so well on my trip, I truly enjoyed it and will come back sometimes in the next few years!

If you are looking for a hotel in the middle of the nightlife of Punta del Este this is probably a bit far away, although it is only 5-10 minutes via cab or rental car. If you are looking for a great place to relax....you can do no better than Il Belvedere!

Room Tip: All the cabins are excellent, choose one with the size you need!

Fantastic cabins! Excellent service, absolutely neat and to the detail attention. Breakfast and tea served in the terrace with a fantastic view. When a bit lazy breakfast is brought to the apartment in a very charming basket.
Our third time here and for sure not the last one.

Room Tip: Pallafite Suites on the top level with a view of the sea

Although it is Off season, but it is a great hotel for family vacation, very clean, very nice service, huge rooms with all the needed facilities
You can hear the birds all day long
Lots of privacy, due to the room’s location and very well planned interior design .

Breakfast and overall dining – not up to the level of the resort.

About 15 min from the city

Room Tip: the bungalows are great

We stayed there for 3 days and the Hotel was just great. We did not book before but walked in from the street and got friendly service. It offers an excellent breakfast buffet with a large variety of food choices and lots of services (like free bicycles which we used) which are included in the price. The pool area is great as well with sunny sections and sections with shades. The hotel has it's own section on the beach which is in walking distance. Overall strong recommendation if you want to go there. The Hotel staff was very friendly and the only point worth or critics would be that a Hotel of this rating should have more English speaking personal.
