Although "closed", the front door of the museum was open so our driver took us in anyway.
There were no traders or demonstrations (obviously, because it was closed) but it was interesting to spend 15 minutes wandering between the recreations of traditional building styles. We met the resident ducks, admired the shady gardens and took numerous photos of the city skyline on the facing shore. A pleasant diversion and probably no less interesting for being closed, as we had the place to ourselves and nobody tried to sell us anything!
The whole place looks shabby and uncared for, in contrast to every other place we visited in the area, but it did feel authentic and was worth the visit.
