Would you trust the chef? Stayed in Shangri-la for the week of the Eid holidays. Decided to try the French restaurant and tried their so-called "blind tasting" experience, whereby they willl serve you 4-5 course meal...you will let them serve you what they want. They will explain what the food is after you tasted it. The starter tasted nice - it was duck liver so I learned afterwards. Then they served dory fish...then meat which was better than wagyu. I don't usually eat lamb, but in this case, I finished the whole portion. It was supposed to be milk-fed lamb cooked in 2 ways...it was very tender.
I was not impressed with the dessert....hey I love desserts...but presentation was nice.
Over-all, it was a very interesting experience.
