“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Beautiful hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Room is very luxurious and everything you could possibly need is here.
Staff are superb and really can't do enough for you, Syriac in particular has made our stay most enjoyable, he gave us all the info and is a real ambassador for the hospitality industry.
Really looking forward to the rest of our stay here and really don't want to leave.
P.S. The pool beds in the adult pool area are a must, makes you feel as though you've really found paradise!

From pulling up to the front of this impressive building until checking out everything was first class, great room fantastic bathroom, very friendly staff nothing to much trouble, butler service a very welcome extra, pool staff especially helpful, great to have cabana at no extra charge as was travelling with grandson so shade very welcome! Breakfast especially good and we never found it busy but maybe as we are early risers there was no problem, my one and only small gripe was that the steps in the pool had a chamfered edge and were not very well defined and I did slip and hurt my arm, overall fantastic holiday.

This has got to be the best hotel I have ever stayed at the room was perfect the bath was massive and the shower was powerful also which I have found a rarity in hotels. The service was out of this world you couldn't ask or want for anything the attendant by the pool also informed us when there was a dolphin sighting on the beech. Also from the moment you arrive at the hotel the building it self is impressive and you are greeted by valet parking.we only stayed for a night on our last visit but we have now booked to go back for ten nights we loved it that much

While this hotel was very good overall, if you are looking for typical St Regis service you may be disappointed at this hotel. This is the first St Regis resort hotel I have visited and, perhaps unfairly, compared it to other more mainstream St Regis properties I have stayed at. The clientele at a resort hotel are different from who would stay at a city centre St Regis as its naturally more family orientated and not as high brow.

All the staff, those who bothered to speak to you, were exceptional and friendly and couldn't do enough to help you, although you did walk past some staff, ready for them to say good morning and for me to reply, but no they walked past and ignored you. Not that it bothers me one way or the other, you just expect staff in a five star hotel to acknowledge you when they walk past you.

The hotel is amazingly clean, impressive and well laid out. I had a suite overlooking the sea which was well furnished and very spacious with a huge bathroom. The spa facilities are nice and were very quiet when I visited. Nice range of treatments and very efficient and friendly staff.

The dining options at the hotel are good. Turquoiz and Sontaya restaurants are very nice, good range of food and reasonably priced. Casper who works in Turquoiz is a credit to the entire hotel and was the reason we made a return visit there. The Manhattan Lounge bar is nice and relaxing although on our last visit there it took over an hour for the food we ordered to arrive. The staff were very apologetic several times although no explanation was given as to why it took so long. The bill was also wrong as there was no deduction for the drinks we ordered during happy hour, although this was immediately rectified once we pointed this out. Breakfast in Olea is an experience. The range of food is nice but due to the sheer number of people eating there it can resemble a bit of a bun fight at times with children running riot and food dropped all over the place. Of course that is not the hotel's fault. The German manageress at Olea (whose name I can't remember) is excellent and another credit to the hotel. Should you not wish to eat in the hotel there are a number eating choices across from the man entrance. There is also a supermarket selling Waitrose products to keep us British happy abroad!

The adult pool at the hotel is nice and so is the private beach. Staff come round with cold towels and melon skewers at the poolside now and again which are very welcome!

The location of the hotel is quite a bit away from Abu Dhabi city centre, however anyone booking this hotel I believe would book it exactly for its location which is on the Saadiyat Island waterfront away from the city centre. There are shuttle buses (although what is not made clear is that some originate at other hotels and don't even come to the St Regis if they are already full, so you can be waiting for a bus that never comes!) and taxis which will take you to the city centre or Yas Island which are not expensive. The shuttle buses are of course free.

Hotel has a good free wifi service, although can be a little slow at times but never cut out completely.

Although there were a few niggles I have rated my stay as very good and I certainly would return to this hotel as the good points outweighed the few negative points I experienced.

Room Tip: A sea view room is a must

This resort was AMAZING (hence the title). This hotel has everything you want in a hotel. The restaurants were great, there was a good variety, and on top of that, less than a minute away from the resort was a complex with more restaurants such as a formal Japanese and Lebanese place. In the resort, there was a nice beach with the clearest water and softest sand. There are 4 pools, one of which is an adult pool, indoors. The room was luxurious. Beds were soft and comfortable, the layout was great, and view was awesome. Also, the bathroom was huge and had so many toiletries for you. The best part was the service. It was amazing. You hada butler who could bring you coffee 24/7 for FREE! I loved the hotel.

Room Tip: no need to pay extra for the sea view, the rooms looking over to the villas and spa are nice and cal...

Came back to stay here having been here 6 months ago so clearly good enough for a return stay. All was as expected. Rooms were good, service excellent and love sontaya restaurant. Only negative is the fact that sun beds are still reserved by people at 8 am and then they show up at 12. It should be either pay for premium locales or strictly first come first served with no holding. Apart from this, perfection

For us, it's all about service and friendly staff. St Regis Saadiyat has both. We recently visited for an afternoon break - a gorgeous day. We had eaten at the Thai Restaurant previously - a must-do for anyone coming out to Saadiyat. We enjoyed some drinks while we were there and would like to especially note Roshan at the adult poll bar areas and Darwin at Tourquoz. Outstanding service from two great guys! And, Naman Schwarz, pool and beach operations Manager was equally guest-centered. Thank you all for a 5* afternoon! We'll be back.
