First ever visit. Unusual location on an upper floor of an office tower in the business area of the city, which is why alcohol is not available during lunches on working days (Sun/Thurs) - this was not advertised anywhere but it did make lunch much cheaper.
The restaurant looks good, looks French and has a nice feel. We had the lunch menu which is not expensive at all, but fell short on quality. The starters were tasty, if a little small, but both main courses failed to thrill. My wife's sweet included a very chewy meringue which was actually stuck to the plate. When we mentioned this to our waiter he simply gave us a feedback card to complete. Maybe he was frightened of the chef....or just not interested.
Staff were generally attentive and service overall was fine but there was a lot of chatter amongst them - we sat near the kitchen door so heard a lot. Maybe they had too many waiting staff for the number of clients.
A bit disappointing. We were going to go back for a Friday brunch and may still do so, but we wont be rushing.
