“The Model of Personal Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

We returned for our second brunch, with very discerning diners. This place is just the best; great atmosphere, setting, variety and quality of food, along with 1st class presentation. But what stands out is the service; we have had memorable brunches each visit, thanks to Milan and Altouz as our waiters; nothing is too much trouble, with sangrias blended to personal taste. The waiters are attentive, patient and welcoming in a way that is second to none. The Executive Chef, Brendan McGowan personally served appetizers to the table and was eager for feedback on our experience. Zlatko continued to serve all sorts of delights to our table; we barely had to glance at the buffets. These guys really care about your dining experience and knock themselves out to deliver the best hospitality. We already feel like family....Can't wait to visit the newly opened Astor Grill, which promises to deliver the same attention to detail, as well as the Lincoln Jazz Centre, which I've been told opens on September 24th. The St Regis sets itself apart from all other hotels with its consistency and generous hospitality. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for!

“very very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Went there for a Friday Brunch. More upscale place compared to others in Doha (Hyatt, Hilton), more classy and tranquil. No band or piano player, just background music. Staff extremely friendly and helpful (thank-you Milan and Claudiu). Good selection of food, not too much but a bit of everything. Big desert buffet. Last but not least, the very best double espresso in town, by far!
Grazie :-)

“Picture perfect evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

We went to Vine last night for our anniversary dinner and loved it. The service was warm, personalized and welcoming from the get go. We had a fantastic table overlooking the West Bay skyline in a private feeling corner. The food from starters to dessert was impressively plated and as delicious as it was lovely to look at. We had the goat cheese/beet salad, truffle cappuccino soup for starters. There was a sorbet ( which was perfect) before the beef filet and salmon arrived. The filet was mouth-watering; I wouldn't hesitate to say it was the best steak I've had in Doha. My husband enjoyed the salmon but wasn't overly impressed. Dessert was the creme brulee trio with expressly and white tea.

All around a fantastic meal with great portion sizes, attentive but not excessive service and a relaxing atmosphere. The menu was pricey but as a splurge I think it was completely worth it. We'll certainly be back on special occasions. Thank you for a lovely evening, Vine!

“Lovely food, great service at Vine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

I recently took a friend to Vine at the new St. Regis in Doha for a special birthday dinner. From the moment we arrived at the restauarant, the service was 10/10. The staff knew it was my friend's birthday and did a special greeting, everything we wanted was delivered with a smile and professionalism. The manager personally took time to talk to us about the menu and could not have been more helpful and lovely. The food was great, we had lamb and chicken for main course but the chef's special collection of starters was wonderful. And a great bottle of wine topped off a really wonderful evening. The room is big with high cielings that mean you never feel like you are shouting over the noise, the background music was jazzy and created a lovely ambience too. Overall, I would highly recommend and will definitely return!
