The Ramada Hotel is one of the better hotels in Doha. It is not as flashy as the Marriott, which is far more expensive, but is has a much more natural feel about it and offers a high standard of room. There are a large number of restaurants, all of which offer high quality food. The Japanese restaurant is especially good. The pub/bar is on the 1st floor is a favourite with the locals so expect this to be packed on Thursday and Friday nights. The staff are friendly and remember your name. Taxis line up at the hotel entrace so getting to your meeting will be no problem (Doha is desperately short of taxis). Internet access is completely free of charge (wifi). There is a large pool and a seperate pool for the children with slides etc. If you are contemplating a stop over for one night, perhaps in between connecting flights then I would recommend this hotel, especially if you a family in tow. There are a number of American diners located within a 5 minute walk. There is also a free shuttle bus once a day to the main shopping district. No complaints at all. Have stayed here 3 times in the past 3 months for 2 weeks each - consistently good.

My company booked me into the Ramada as i am settling into Doha. The hotel is fantastic i was staying in their new wing and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The hotel has about 20 plus bars and restaurants in which to eat. Never had a chance to try them all but as i am living in Doha now will def be going back there as their is not alot of choice in Doha. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Food, Bars, Rooms and Leisure club are excellent as are all the staff.

I consider Ramada Plaza Doha the best in Qatar!
I like most...
*Numerous of excellent restaurants and bars
*Hospitable and accomodating staffs
*Boast the best fitness and sports facilities
*Lovely family atmosphere
*Centrally located in the heart of Doha
*The newly constucted building is very nice

I like least
*They might not have that very good infrastructure like Ritz & Four Seasons, but the service and the hospitality are really great!

  • Disliked — I dont think there is... Ramada is great for everyone!

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night only. The interior decoration of room is well done. Food was nice and served neatly. Overall impressive.

I have already stayed at this hotel a couple of times. I really like it, personnel is friendly and efficient, I love the rooms, excellent facilities and location, food above average, excellent value for money, maybe the only negative point is that I would have preferred the Ramada to be located near or at the Corniche
