“A really great place to spend a couple of hours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

This was our second visit to this museum with about a two year gap in between.

It is situated on a little island/pontoon within Doha bay, the location is beautiful with lawned areas and gardens close-by.

The museum holds an extensive collection of exhibits from about 900 AD up until about 1850 AD. The exhibits are exquisite and chronologically planned out.

The gift shop is actually quite reasonably priced as is the café, both on the ground level.

Visit mid to late afternoon while everything else is closed and then treat yourself to a nice walk afterwards around the bay.
