Just got back to Muscat after a four month trip away and the first thing on the agenda was a trip to the Noodle House. The restaurant is located in the Muscat City Center Shopping mall near the airport. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Muscat.
The Restaurant has a very smart and trendy appearance. The staff are very slick and greet you at the door before showing you to your table. The restaurant is very open plan with an open kitchen where you can see the chefs preparing you food. The seating is deliberately understated with big quality wooden tables and benches instead of chairs.
The food at the noodle house is a kind of Asian fusion with a mix of Japanese, Thai and Chinese options available. I have tried some of the Thai offerings such as the Tom Yum soup and Thai green curries and sadly, found them very disappointing. If you want Thai food I suggest going to a Thai Restaurant. What they lack in Thai food however, the Noodle House more than make up for with their other offerings. Firm favorites of mine are the Shanghi Beef noodles and the Plumb sauce chicken. (This is a bit like sweet and sour)
Service for Muscat is exceptionally good with a friendly and efficient staff. Not only this but they look very sharp too and are very well turned out with smart uniforms. The food is of a very high standard with high quality fresh ingredients. The food tastes clean and fresh unlike a lot of Chinese restaurants which just taste greasy and heavy.
If you go at Ramadan they have an offer on. Three courses and a drink for 9.9 OR which I thought was good value.
