“Good and friendly”

It is a nice hotel in a quiet neigborhood and very friendly staff. Two times they helped us with complaining taxi drivers. Breakfast ok, nothing special. You can walk to areas with restaurants and shops.

Great value for money. Nice hotel, friendly staff, sushi bar on upper floor with nice view. Just be aware that there is another Golden Tulip hotel in Beirut and taxi drivers are routinely taking u to the wrong one. Walking distance till Monot street with bars and restaurants.

we stayed in an executive suite after being upgraded after an altercation with a rather aggressive taxi driver, the hotel manager said he wanted us to have a good impression on Beirut.
Our room was so comfortable we had trouble dragging ourselves out of bed to go sightseeing every day!!
We had complimentary bottled water on our first night and a basket of fruit on our second night. and free internet access from our room.
The hotel also provided us with a free map for the area , it was only about 15 mins walk from downtown Beirut and in a nice quiet area with not many other hotels around.
The staff were always friendly and very helpful.

Stayed here with a mate and chose the hotel for it's proximity to Monot/Gemmayze. Its walking distance to the bars in Monot (which i'd recommend - some excellent bars and restaurants there). The hotel was nice, good rooms, good location, helpful staff, the gym was kind of small and pokey and the bar was utterly dead. Price was reasonable

I stayed in this hotel in November 2010 for 2 nights. The hotel is 20 minutes walking distance to the downtown of Beirut. Very clean hotel and the personnel was also helpful. What surprised me in the hotel is ,i had been upgraded to an executie suit for my stay. I do not know the reason but if it was because of any problem in the hotel, they did not let me fight with it instead they moved me to another room which was great.

I tried this hotel during my second business visit in Beirut. The location is within the French area and not very far from the city centre (15-20 minutes walking). The rooms are not so spacious but they are quite new. Service is quite good and internet access is free both in the room and the lobby. The mattress was too much soft.

Very good front desk staff. Decent breakfast. Free internet connection. Standard rooms small but clean and comfortable - ask for one with a balcony. A fine hotel for a business stay - but no pool, or anywhere nice to hang out after a hard day's work or sight-seeing. Biggest frustration was that almost every taxi driver seems to know the Tulip in Hamra - and will take you there unless you make it very clear you want to go to the De Ville... which mysteriously seems to be off their radar!
