This is an oasis in a part of town where fast food joints dominate. The warm interior decor attracted us down the narrow road leading off the Hamra and one glance at the range of starters was enough to convince us to take a seat. There are seating options in the street, perfect during warmer weather, as well as seating indoors where the colours make for a cozy atmosphere. There is a wide variety of imaginative starters. The beetroot and goats cheese salad was a winner, as was the beef carpaccio, beautifully set off with rock salt, mushrooms and rocket. Mains include a range of unusual pizzas- I tried the sweet Gorgonzola pumpkin and sage pizza which was excellent, with a thin base and fresh taste. For the record the seafood linguine was also good- perfectly cooked pasta although the tomato sauce was a bit too heavy. With a range of local and Italian wines available by the glass or bottle and reasonably priced local beer, this was a good value and enjoyable meal. We skipped desserts and walked back to the main road for takeaway gelatos!
