“Great value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

A fantastic walk through the various parts of Beirut. Not to strenuous, mostly in shade, but taking in a lot. Ronnie has a vast knowledge and passion for his city and is the perfect guide. He will take you through the history and politics so you will come away with a great understanding of Beirut and Lebanon. Don't miss this excellent tour.

“Inside scoop”

Ronnie knows his stuff and will take you on a tour of the main streets and back roads of Beirut while delivering the historical and socio-political context at the same time. Highly recommended.

“fantastic way to get to know the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

walking by foot is arguably the best way to discover a city. having a tour guide walk with you makes it every more stimulating as you don't have to keep looking at your map or reading little boxes of text - you just walk and listen, not just to standard or generic information, but you get little insider info on beirut's history, sights, buildings, events that changed the country, etc. I highly recommend this, to both locals and visitors!

“Absolutely brilliant, best way to see more of Beirut”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

If you do one thing to get to know Beirut, let it be this tour! Ronnie, the tour guide, is fantastic, and knows Beirut and its history like the back of his hand, and the tour is friendly and very informative. You will see snapshots of Beirut's past from the Roman era up to the civil war and beyond, all put into context by the tour guide. The walk is long, but it is at the right time of day to avoid the heat and there are plenty of places to stop and sit. It is an absolute bargain for $20, there is no better way to get to know Beirut and its history.

“What a bargain!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012

For 20 US$ you get a real insider story of Beirut! From the origins of political system, hidden Roman baths in the centre of the city, Ottoman palaces turned French, 18 political parties, how the 2 political enemies became best friends in jail and created modern Lebanese constitution.... history and contemporary life of Beirut all rolled in one! All this narrated by lively, super funny and very knowledgeable Ronnie who is the life of this tour. Definitely not to be missed interesting crash course on Lebanon!
PS. Don't be scared by the duration of the tour (4 hours), time will fly and there will be plenty of stops where you will be sitting down.
