“Sea Water Shower, 10$ Wifi, No early check-in! AVOID AVOID”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

fine, it was relatively cheaper compared to a bunch of hotels, But for 66 USD a night, i expected something a bit more decent.
1. The hotels interior is so outdated and quite depressing to look at
2. The shower had salty sea water
3. the room was very worn out and doors didnt close properly.
4. wifi was extremely expensive
5. A bottle of drinking water cost 5 USD
However, the location was perfect, and close to almost everything in Hamra, and the cabs knew the hotel very well.
i dont recommend this hotel because its not a hostel, neiither a 2 star.

Room Tip: other than the location. nothing was good.

Dear Mr.Alaa S,

Thank you for your review.
We take your comments seriously, and we are happy to hear from you.

It's true that we are among the cheapest hotels in Beirut, and we are currently experiencing higher than usual volume resulting in State water and water treatment being non sufficient alone with Beirut's water problems...

2-Early checkin:
As we all know, checkin time is usually starting 14:00 in most of hotels... yes this could be possible to checkin earlier than 14:00 in a period of low occupancy.. and checkin can be made one or few hours before the scheduled time..
Unfortunately, you checked in a day earlier, very early morning, around 5:30 am..

3-Doors:
They've all been renewed and new locks have been implemented..

4-WiFi:
Wi-Fi is powered by IDM and wifi cards are sold at the reception desk.. we do have 4 types of cards: $USD 4.00 (1 hour), $USD 10.00 (5 hours) , $USD 15.00 (1 day) , and finally $USD 40.00 (1 week)..
I understand that you bought the 1 hour internet card, after checking on your stay..

3-The cost of a bottle of water is $USD 4.00 and not $USD 5.00

Please allow me to apologise for any inconvenience you've experienced during your stay..
Yes indeed, your comments are always important to us.. and we hope you'll give us the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

Sincerely,

Myrna Serhal

Room with balcony with a quite typically Beriut streetview. Room was rather simple, AC and a refrigerator was handy in the heat.

Location is great with a lot of nightclubs, bars and resturants around.

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and never had a problem. The staff is nice and the rooms are straightforward and very simple. The bathrooms leave you a bit wanting, but are definitely clean. The location is great in Hamra, but I have since discovered that there are better value hotels in the same area.

Room Tip: Try to get the side facing inside the block. The rooms over the road are very noisy.
