Stayed for a week on business in July.Comfortable Hotel, excellent staff, and very clean. It's attached to a modern shopping centre that leads down to the sea and contains some nice restaurants (Silk and Spice was a very good Indian). Hotel Restaurant was OK. Fruit Cocktails in Lounge were delicious.Rooms are spacious and modern with Broadband.

Stayed here in March for 2 nights whilst on a business trip to Kuwait City for the first time. The hotel itself is brand new, although you wouldn't know from the skills and service shown by the staff during my stay. Check-in was a seemless process and upon request of a high floor I was duly given a room on the newly opened 8th floor, I think I was probably the first one to use Room 813 and it was fantastic. The room was as good as any 4/5 star hotel I have stayed in with a sofa, large bed, walk in shower and a small apartment style kitchenette and free internet as well. Although I was only staying for a couple of nights this place would be great if you were here a longer stay. My only gripe was the TV channels were very limited if you have time to watch them much.
The location of the hotel is ideal with a shopping mall attached and promenade style restaraunt area a further 100 meters away with various food and none alcoholic drink outlets which can give you a nice change of scene from the hotel.

This hotel just opened in February 2007 so, I was pleasantly surprised at the high level of service I received from the staff. The check in went flawlessly with the receptionist even personally escorting you to the room to show you the features and amenities.

The rooms are gogeous with a large flat screen TV, extra couches and chairs. I was in a premium room which also has a wet bar area (of course no actual acohol since it is Kuwait) with a nice set up of coffee and tea and lots of free bottled water. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linens and lots of pillows.

The room had a wonderful view of the Gulf. I was a little surprised how much noise came through the door to the adjoining room. There was a large conference of teenagers (Model UN) during my stay and unfortunately they seemed to enjoy congregating in the room next to mine. But I know the hotel staff was trying their best to keep their disruptions to a minimum.

High speed internet was free of charge and worked very well throughout my stay. The room light control panel near the bed worked in a strange way. Once you turned off the lights from the panel you could not turn them on again from the regular light switches.

The best part of the hotel though, is its location, attached to the brand new malls in the area. You can easily walk to lots of different restaurants from your typical American fast food to a great lebanese place overlooking the gulf.

The Rotana is a great addition to Kuwait and perfect for the business/leisure traveller. I am sure the great rate I got will soon be going up though...
