“Fascinating Collection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Original Orientalist paintings, Arabic wedding jewelry, a tiny koran in two volumes, room after room of surprises--and I thought the coral teardrop-encrusted rifle was worth the trip. A fascinating museum of artifacts collected by one couple--well worth the trip.

“Exquisite personal collection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

More than 30000 items collected over a period of more than 50 years are displayed in this private museum belonging to Tareq Sayed Rajab and his English wife. A large an interesting collection of artefacts from all over the Islamic world, Asia and the Far East.

Take your time visiting the museum which is located in the residential area of Jabriya. The building is not signed but you will recognise it from the big black "Arabian" door at its exterior. The collections are very well-organised and its possible to view everything in one visit if you organise your walk through the museum. A visit or stay in Kuwait is incomplete without a visit to the museum.

“Beautiful Museum with Many Surprises”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

Private museum best seen with a small group. Excellent Quran calligraphy. Great collection of bridal jewellery. Costumes from many parts of the world. Weapons, swords, matchlocks, flintlocks, musketoons and even small cannons! Nice displays very well presented. A real delight to spend a couple of hours!
