I spent 3 days at this hotel; frankly speaking I was surprised by the excellent service and the friendly stuff. One of the best courtyard Marriott I have been stayed if it is not the best the glass lobby is unique as it is very bright, The break fast buffet is amazing and they have Avery nice dining Italian restaurant by the name of Il Forno
I would recommend this hotel to all Kuwait visitors as it is apparently a four stars hotel but it has all the facilities of the 5 stars especially with the elegant club lounge in 15th floor
There are two Marriotts in Kuwait, which I discovered having spent 45 minutes being driven to the wrong one by a local taxi driver. That's the only strong piece of advice I can give you. Plus check your bill on checkout, as you might find you've been charged for your free transfer from the airport. You'll be refunded, but it's rather cheeky.
As I've mentioned in other reviews of Kuwait hotels, this is not somewhere one often chooses to visit so a comfortable hotel makes a difference to one's stay. The benefits of the Courtyard Marriott are its location and reasonable facilities. It's connected to a city centre mall which offers a few shopping and eating diversions at the end of the business day, although sterling has slid so far against the KD that buying anything was irresponsible except for therapeutic reasons. Inside the hotel there is a large lobby, an outdoor pool (which I didn't see) and a well equipped gym that's open 24 hours a day. Internet is free and it's a reasonable connection. These are the sort of thing that make me recommend this rather than, say, the Holiday Inn Downtown.
The staff (as always, not Kuwaiti nationals) are friendly and sometimes efficient. The lifts take a couple of uses to get too - it's the first time I've encountered ones where you type your destination floor onto a keypad, are allocated a lift, and then find there are no buttons inside! Beware that some rooms face onto the atrium rather than out to the city.
On balance, a reasonable hotel to which I will return when I next visit Kuwait City. But I can't quite bring myself to give it any better than a three out of five.
A fantastic hotel in a good location.
The staff are brilliant and are extremley friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very nice, the rooms are clean modern and have fast internet access as well as very comfortable beds. The food at the hotel is very good and there is a great range. Breakfast downstairs is fantastic. The airport transfer service they offer is very good and efficient.
I have no complaints about this hotel and i would reccomend to any business or leisure traveller.
I stayed here on two occasions totalling 15 nights in September and October. The first thing that strikes you is the service. Friendly and helpful staff always willing to go the extra mile. Room are fairly large and comfortable. On both occasions I had a room on a higher floor with sea view. Every room has high speed internet access (which I found to be 100% reliable).
Leisure facilities are brilliant. Hotel has a large, well equipped gym and a 25m heated pool. Food is excellent with a huge choice.
Hotel is situated about 20 minutes from the airport. They have a pick-up service which costs KD 5 (same as a normal taxi).
