I have never heard of dining in Bahrain that got universal acclaim. I lived in Bahrain three years (just moved) and any place you mentioned - Bushido, Monsoon, Gusto and even Mezzaluna - seem to get only lovers or haters. Count me as a lover of Mezzaluna. My wife would agree. She usually eats fish in fine dining restaurants and liked the sea breem. I will eat most anything. I have tried several dishes here and can't remember not loving my meal. I would describe the menu as modern/continental/french. The interior is nice. Service is some of the best in Bahrain. You'll often meet the chef. The amuse bouche they give you is a great way to start a great culinary experience. My only fault is the deserts. Not as menorable as the main course.
