“Indian Food at its Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Taka-Tak situated near the Awal Cinema is one of the best Indian restaurants in Bahrain catering to the non-vegetarian people.Although they make yummy veg. dishes too,but Taka-Tak mainly stands out for its scrumptious, tasty non-veg. food.My picks are: Fish Amritsari,Chicken Biryani,Palak Paneer,Chicken Tikka and the Rasgulla.Taka Tak is a must-try for everyone. Two thumbs up!

“Very Cheap Indian Buffet on Zubara Road”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

Many Indian restaurants have fixed price buffets on Thursday evenings for supper or Friday afternoons for lunch. Tak-a-Tak has a buffet every day of the week. For the low price you pay, the food is okay both for carnivores and vegetarians although I didn't find it particularly spicy.

“Good dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2011

Tak-a-Tak is well known for both its lunch and dinner buffets. They also serve ala carte meals...but the menu for this is limited, especially for vegetarians. They serve good chaat items as well, but these appear to be slightly overpriced for the quantity. The buffet however is really very good, with two kinds of soups ( one veg and one non-veg), a variety of starters ( small crispy vegetable samosas, french fries, pakodas etc), several kinds of freshly made salads including hummus and raita, 4-5 kinds of main course dishes followed by desserts- ice cream, cake, pudding, any Indian sweet like gulab jamun, gajar halwa or rasgulla. The service is good and the ambience is cheerful. There is usually instrumental Hindi film music played on a low volume. The restaurant undertakes home delivery and also caters for parties. For celebrating special occasions like birthdays, arrangements can be made with the restaurant for a birthday cake to be cut at the lunch/dinner table to the accompaniment of the birthday song.
