The pavilion for this ancient site is an intriguing tent-like structure; inside is a small theatre with a slide or video show; whichever it was, for some reason it was not working. I have no idea when the video will be working; staff were very uncommunicative and sat around listlessly at the front entrance. There is also one of those scale-model cities in the museum/pavilion which gives you an idea of the size of the place.
Outside the pavilion, you cross the road (not busy) to scramble up to the wall of the old city from where you can look through a wire fence (around the right side of the wall, atop Wadi Hanifeh), and take in the expanse. But there is no entry permitted, so the experience is fairly limited. Hardly worth the drive out.
