“Good Location, poor services…”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

This hotel has a good location where its away from the busy area of the “Haram” around 2km away from the Holy mosque. There are two buses for the hotel but there isn’t any schedule for them!! Sometime you wait 5 minutes and sometimes 20 minutes it depends to your luck. The hotel services are too poor it’s a 3 star hotel from the services point view. The restaurant is terrible their breakfast buffet is just a joke nothing there, very very few types of food.

The room are good furnished and I think it’s a new hotel, the bed is comfortable but too small. The problem in the room is you could hear your neighbour,,,

Overall I don’t recommend this Hotel, and I am not coming again,,,

I'm going to be very honest about this hotel.
The good points will have to be that it is a newly made building so it's quite modern and clean. Our room was very clean. Clean covers and bathroom etc.
The hotel wasn't very busy which is good considering we didn't have to wait for elevators or anything else a long time which is the case with many other hotels.
Now on the bad points. There is literally no helpful member of staff only when you check in and check out. During check out we has to carry our luggage down ourselves. Within our 6 days of stay no member of staff asked us if we needed anything or provided any sort of good service to us. The staff can't speak English unless you know how to speak Urdu/hindi you may be able to communicate with some staff members unless someone there does understand some English. We had paid for breakfast within the package which was absolutely rubbish Arabic food. They call it a 'buffet' with no more than four types of dishes within the mains and two types of drinks not including water and tea. The breakfast was certainly not enjoyable at all and we were lucky not to have also purchased lunch.
There is literally no room service. The phones never worked. We went down to ask for clean towels once and they never arrived. So unless your happy living without staff and doing your own thing you won't have a problem.
The bathroom was very small and no member of staff arrived to clean out room for 6 days even when we asked to.
Masjid from the hotel is about a 20 min walk. Maybe longer under a tunnel which isn't ideal. And there is no shuttle bus hotel itself provides like some. You have to wait outside for a bus which sometimes can take up to 15-20 mins but usual only 5 mins.
Overall I would rate the hotel about 3 star on the fact it was clean and modern and quiet.

I visited this hotel in January 2014, and I was really happy that I booked it. although I have found negative reviews, I decided to try it cause I know that Elaf group always provide good hotels. The hotel is clean, modern and the room is very nice and comfortable, also the breakfast was very nice. The only drawback that it does not provide regular shuttle bus to haram. The most important advantage is the money value, as I booked it for 75 USD per night while the average rate (in season) is 160 USD. Also they managed to give me the room immediately upon my arrival (11:30 Am) although most hotels do 4:00 PM.

Room Tip: Just book this hotel if you are planning to visit Makkah.
