“Best hotel in makkah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Best rooms, best service, best location and best room service. Stayed at the fairmount last time around which is the closest competition. Indeed the rooms at the Fairmont are better but it loses out on the rest 3 counts. Le meridien in a cheaper option but location is slightly far.

I went to Makkah twice in January I stayed at the Hilton first time and then far al rawhid, although the 2nd one is more luxury I liked Hilton more because of service as well as having small stores on the ground floor.you can get anything you need on your way in or out the hotel.
Highly recommend it

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days during the Hajj period of 2012. We we on the 25th floor - twin beds, bathroom with shower, mini-fridge, kettle with tea/coffee facilities, iron and board, lots of storage and room to walk around. We felt very relaxed and comfortable - just what we needed after finishing Hajj.
Our package included breakfast which was great - lots of varieties from cereal, toast, eggs, meat, cheese, pastries etc...
Even though they have plenty of lifts to accommodate for their guests, you need to give time to leave your hotel room, especially during prayer times as everyone is leaving. It's very close to Haram which made it easy for us to go to and fro the hotel at any time.
The hotel is inside a shopping mall - so you can buy most of your essentials - but always keep a mini-calculator/phone to check if what you are buying is worth it in your currency!

I stayed in this hotel in Jan 2013. They have entirely refurbished their lobby...its very convenient and confortable. Since I am a frequent visitor to Makkah and always prefer to stay at Makkah Hilton Hotel, I feel like staying at my home...The staff at reception, concierge and House know me well so I always get extra ordinary service.

This time I took my family along and we stayed at the 29th Executive Floor. The rooms are excellent and they recently opened Executive lounge which is quite comfortable.

They have separate check in desk for executive floor, but its very small...

Overall experience is excellent, no complaints and cant even think of giving a try to any other hotel.

Room Tip: Always ask for last moment upgrade and try to book directly

Now this is the place to stay as far as I am concerned. There were no complicated elevator access/egress problems compared to staying in any of the Tower hotels. It also has so much more charm and character and the most wonderful aspect of this hotel is the proximately to the Harem. From checkin to leaving we were impressed with our stay. The rooms were spacious and reasonably priced for this time of the year, clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was the normal standard of other hotels. There are plenty of sitting spots around the hotel and access to the shopping area is very convenient.
On the negative side it was a little noisy due to construction as nearby building work is gong on 24/7. Ask for a room away from the constuction. The room service was a bit slow and disappointing.
But I really enjoyed the ease of just walking across the plaza to the harem for now was the time to look after my spirit and noursih that..... becasue afterall isnt that what we are in Mecca for!

Room Tip: Insist on a room away from the construction noise.

Dear Sir,

Nice to read your comments and to understand that you had an enjoyable stay. Well, while many of our guests appreciate the hotel, lots of our valuable guests like to stay in the towers. Each property has its own charm and special characteristics that guests enjoy and request.

While we have a little to do to control the outside noise, I am taking your other comments with all department heads concerned for immediate corrective action.

Until we have the pleasure of welcoming you again to Makkah Hilton & Towers, please accept our regards.

Although its old and many other new hotels are there, but it has different taste!
you just wake to pray straight from the elevator to the masjid.. you cross only the small mall .. the hotel is still in good condition :)

Despite the opening of a few hotels nearby, Makkah Hilton & Towers remains the pioneer in its market. Yes, as they say "Old is Gold". Our proximity to Haram and our levels of service are simply unbeatable.
