this was a fantastic hotel. i put off staying thinking it was so much more expensive than the other hotels but in the end it isn't. my son stayed here a couple of times and was all praise for the place. we took the two bedroom suite and it was wonderful. they go out of their way to please you and make sure you have a pleasant stay. the sitting room was very spacious with comfortable couches. it had a dining room off to the side as well. the whole sitting room and bedrooms had floor to cealing windows with beautiful views of the kabah. we called ahead to ask to have a good view and they made sure we had it. the bathrooms are also very spacious. i didn't go down for breakfast but my husband did and was all praise for it and he has traveled to very nice hotels throughout the world and said their breakfast was outstanding. he requested some bread and stuff to bring to the room and they brought up croisants, bread, butter, jam, and honey as well as tea without extra charge. it was a very nice stay and i look forward to staying there again especially with that view it was out of this world! i forgot to mention i think the windows must be soundproof as you wouldn't know there were so many people around outside...we didn't hear a sound. i will upload some pictures. i forgot to mention they have a seperate spa and gym for the women. i didn't use it but i did go up and have a look at it. it says it is the only womens spa in mecca. it was nice and the ladies working there were very welcoming.

The design of the hotel room was very good and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful but not professional and very slow in processing the booking procedures. The food was very delicious. The location of the hotel very near to the Haram in front of King Abdulaziz Gate. The housekeeping was not so good, after they clean the room they don't check what is missing from the room such as the soap, shampoo, tissue etc.. The price of the Landry is very high.

It was really a perfect and ideal stay, the hotel next to the Haram and it is very clean, elegant, excellent service and all staff members are professional and very friendly: Reception, concierge, restaurant members, Tea man, Security and others all were very polite. The restaurant has very nice KABA view, the Spa also very nice. We have booked a signature room and it was wonderful but the only thing disappoint us was the city view, as it wasn’t really a city view we were at the first floor and the room hasn’t a view at all. But everything else was amazing, and it will be a pleasure to stay again in Raffles but in better choice of the room.

Room Tip: avoid room No 101 or other room at the same floor and side

The hotel is well located by the haram with very nice spacious rooms.

I have stayed in 5 other 5 star hotels in makkah, but this is the best in service and also room design and to add above all that its clean.
