Stayed here on our last night in Jordan. Chose this place mainly because of the price. The place is a bit away from the main tourist area and most eating joins, though easily walkable. Limited parking but I didn't have a problem the one day we were there.

The main downside is that the place is right at a somewhat busy intersection and we could hear considerable traffic noise. The breakfast spread was also a bit limited compared to the other places we stayed at during the trip.

Room Tip: Sounds obvious, but a room away from the main road will be quieter.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Rumman Hotel for two weeks. The Hotel is spotless and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.Rania and Baha really went to so much trouble to help me when i needed some extra help.Tea and coffee are available 24/7 and the breakfast is nice and served almost as soon as you enter the dining room. The Hotel driver is very nice and any advice on travel is always available with tips on where to go and what to avoid.I cant recommend this Hotel highly enough.

We visited Rumman Hotel in Feb 2014. My husband, adult daughter and myself stayed in the same room. Our clean room had 3 beds and a nice size bath. The water was cool at best, how-
ever, my husband had a hot bath at 5:30 am. Our room had no heat. The front desk sent a portable heater up and we survived with that and plenty of blankets. We really enjoyed the
breakfast buffet. The staff was extremely friendly and endlessly helpful. We returned to the hotel
toward the end of our trip and were greeted warmly by the staff. This time our room had heat, but still no hot water for our baths. Wifi worked well. We had travel guide, Omran B., recommend
this hotel. We really did enjoy our stay at Rumman Hotel.

Hello..Assalam Alaikum......! Its first time to write on tripAdvisor.I recently stayed in Rumman hotel Madaba,JORDAN.Its small but descent property with sufficient varieties of brakefast ,if you are looking for just luxury you can find on your own but if you like homely atmosphere where people make you feel you are guest in their home no other place than Rumman,,I travelled as solo female traveller without tour plans I was welcomed by Mr.Baha at reception checkin was so smooth and quick when i entered room it was clean, neat, tidy & smelling good.usually there are 3persons one of them will be there to welcome you at reception...Mr.Baha,,Mr,Saleem & you will be luckiest if you find lady at reception with huge welcoming smile thats RANIA...centre of Rumman or HEART of rumman.Rania is solution of everything storage of information all around Madaba. If you are coming without tour plans just leave it on her.About Madaba where to eat, where to buy, what to see,how far it is?whats importance of that place she will provide you all information, believe me if you start your journey as per her guideline i would say you wont miss out anything if you have tour plan just get your transport arranged by Rania if she manage to arrange car for you with Mr.Ammar just dont worry & enjoy. Some people goes beyond capacity & apart from duties when it comes to help Rania is holding that personality.Best thing about this hotel every staff there give you smile any moment of day or night Mehmood,Ezzat,Ahmad cant communicate with us in english but Mashallah their body language says they are happy to help you any time none of them showd me tired face everyone of them asked me to come again usually i notice families getting more attention by hotel but for me i felt every single person took better care of me still remember Mr.Baha always says **anything you need just call me**Mr.Saleem we are here to help you anytime & Rania **dont hesitate for anything i am here**last day i met owner of the hotel i found that gentleman also very jolly none of them has any strong attitude. I WAS NOT LONELY AND NOT HELPLESS AT ALL DURING MY STAY IN RUMMAN...sometimes people makes you to come back again I will Come back to Rumman

We stayed 2 nights … I booked a double room directly on the website of the hotel for 33 euro/night including breakfast for 2. We used this hotel as our basecamp to visit Mount Nebo, the Death Sea and Wadi Mujib Siq trail.
On our late arrival (23h50) at Amman Queen Alia airport there was a taxidriver from Rumman hotel waiting for us (excellent!). Only 30 minutes drive for 14 JOD to Madaba.

Clean hotel. cheap price. This hotel has 2 floors, 22 rooms and is located in a calm street of a dusty, dirty and ugly city, only 10 minutes walking to St George church … but watch your steps because its quite easy to get lost in this maze of alleys.

Our double room was small (3,2x6,2m = 19,8m², including bathroom (1,9x1,5m), simple, functional , tiled floor, clean, and quiet at night. Good bed. Good and silent airco, older TV but no signal. Bathroom small, clean and bare. No mirror, no glasses. Lame shower nozzle and only 1 time warm water in early morning … otherwise “luke warm”(=cold). minimal toiletries provided. Complimentary : good Wifi, free tea/coffee (but not in the room). No elevator, no fridge on the room.
Staff helpful and friendly. They arranged a taxi excursion to the Death Sea, Mt Nebo and Siq for45JOD and also a taxi transportation to Petra for 55JOD.
Limited and simple breakfast. On the other side of the street : Ayar restaurant is good.

Conclussion : if you are looking for a cheap hotel in Madaba than Rumman hotel will fulfill your expectations. If you want a larger and more comfortable room with swimming pool, than nearby Best western Grand is more suitable, but more than double the Rumman price (see also my review of Best Western Grand).
