“Clean and tidy.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012 via mobile

Good location about 30 mins from airport. Nice rooms - clean and tidy. Pleasant helpful staff. Ok breakfast. Location - main street outside is chaotic but easy, short and safe walk into town centre to see main sights. Interesting town. Recommend this hotel.

Run by a friendly family, this hotel is clean, central and a very good choice. The building is at walking distance from the centre and the churches/mosaic site. It is new, freshly painted but lacks a little bit of atmosphere. The friendly staff make this up and make sure you feel at home. The traditional breakfast was good. The owners might have decided to extend the hotel at the wrong time. Many people visit Jordan in combination with Syria, but because of the troubles the flow of visitors from that side has stopped. Maybe visitors to the region will decide to spend more time in Jordan and value it at its own right. Madaba and Mosaic City Hotel would be the right place to do so. Spend some more time there then we did.

Room Tip: I would opt for a room facing the side street or at the back of the hotel. The main street is one wa...

Stayed here for a night and another night in Rumman. Fortunate to have experienced both amazing services from both hotels. This is a great value for your money and is located centrally near restaurants, stores, and sights. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was secure. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but manageable. There's TV, hot water, decent breakfast choices and hospitable front desk staff that are eager to assist all the time. The lobby is fairly new and spotless. I would stay here again.

The hotel is winner of one of the Trip Advisor's best bargains. It is inexpensive enough: it has comfortable beds, free wifi in public areas, and air conditioning. But it offers no shampoo, conditioner, or lotion which we like to have so we don't have to carry it with us. The shower head fell off our shower and another guest's and we asked them to fix it but they did not so the shower was a stinging shot of water. Breakfast was really basic - the least number of choices we had during our fifteen days in Jordan and Israel, but the orange juice was the best because it was not watered down. Madaba is a really dirty city, and this hotel is in the dirtiest part that we saw - I am not sure why the tour company we used put us there for two nights. One night should have been in Amman. We would not choose to stay here again, mainly because of the location. The hotel is OK but not what I would call outstanding. With the Trip Advisor award, I expected more.

Room Tip: Stay in Madaba only one night. Move on to Amman or preferably to Aqaba and stay at the Hilton!

We stayed for a night before we flew home. Much better to do that than go back to Amman. The rooms were clean and have what you need including a TV with hundreds of channels. Breakfast is pretty basic. The service is outstanding. Would certainly stay here again.

Madaba is a great alternative travel base to Amman. 30mins taxi drivefrom airport. The hotel is clean and the staff are helpful and pleasant. The buffet breakfast is houmous, flatbreads, tomatoes, oranges, meat ,cheese, bread, cereals and toast and is delicious. We spent 4 nights there; exploring the Dead Sea, Mt Nebo, Bethany by Jordan and Madaba itself - the mosaics are worth seeing. The hotel has organised tours which are good value; the driver was excellent. It was cold & rainy when we visited and one day it snowed so we ate a couple of times in the hotel in the evenings - the food is simple but excellent.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

We stayed there twice 1 night in Madaba.
The location is very nice, and the staff is so friendly. So so friendly!
The rooms are large, well furnished, and they have Wifi access and the breakfast is good.

The rooms on the main street are slightly (too) noisy, but the one on the side road are very quiet.

We loved staying there visiting Madaba.
