We found it odd that they demand payment in full up front until we stepped beyond the main lobby area. Then we encountered the following:
The elevator out of service. Thankfully there was a polite bellboy who ported our bags.
There was water leaking on tile floors everywhere, including our bathroom floor (from the toilet? the sink?). In the 3rd floor lobby, there was a large puddle of water that extended from a door with towels stuffed under it a long stretch (20+ feet) all the way to the main hall. Watch where you step around here! Water puddles elsewhere on the grounds with maintenance crew occasionally squeegie-ing them up. To be fair it had rained earlier in the week, but still, water all over the tile floors on the inside.
Our room had a constant musty smell.
Our toilet flusher had to be pushed 3 or 4 times to flush.
Pools not heated! We came here in March and expected more.
Staff barely acknowledging complaints about water on floors, and pointing us elsewhere when asking for towels.
There was a hole in our balcony screen which allowed mosquitos to get in.
Our door closer/regulator was broken so our room door slammed shut when closed.
If you look closely you'll see that things are falling apart, paint peeling, etc.
Two bright spots: The gym was functional although a number of the machines didn't work. Breakfast, included in the expensive room price, was good.
