This is golf in name only but it's a different experience and worth playing once. I've played golf on sand scrapes a couple of times before so nothing new there, but first time I've walked around carrying the fairway with me... (you take a little circle of plastic grass with you to hit off)
No indications of where to go from hole to hole but that's probably because most take caddies or are locals (or caddies are 'expected' - got that feeling). Spent ten minutes finding the 3rd tee from 2nd 'green'. Also, because the fairways are a collection of rocks, dirt and scrubby plants I spent a bit of time searching for where my ball ended up after bouncing off yonder.
Plenty of elevation changes around the course and the 4th/13th was an interesting long downhill par 3. Short in length for a golf course and made even more so by the sometimes generous ricochet bounces.
I guess most play here as a novelty (like me) or for the social club atmosphere rather than the golf! Clubhouse area is pleasant enough.
