“Lovely old villa in Rainbow Street”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

This restaurant is in a lovely old villa in Rainbow Street with a garden in front and a roof terrace. Unfortunately the roof terrace was closed on mid-October, it might mave been a little chilly. The food is classic local cuisine and really excellent. Service is quick and friendly. Highly recommended for both setting and the food.

“A favorite of mine!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

You will have a very broad and varied menu from which to select a satisfying and authentic Middle East meal. A glass of arak or wine would make it perfect, but, alas, alcohol is not served at Sufra. Servings are generous and the flavors are fresh. The setting is very pleasant in one of Amman's old houses. When it's warm, the outside seating is a real pleasure, although I have left with mosquito bites on my ankles. A spray of Off before dinner will take care of that. The only irritation was the 2JD parking valet fee. I would rather have given it to the excellent wait staff. The parking valets block all the spots near the restaurant, forcing you to use their services. I don't mind 1 JD, but balk at 2. It is pleasant to walk here from the first circle (thus avoiding the valets).

“Middle eastern cuisine at its best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

If you are a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine then this restaurant in a quiet neighborhood in Amman is a must. Wonderful taste, improvisations on traditional recipes, pleasant ambiance and quite reasonably priced as well.

“Delicious and very good ambience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

1 shared appetiser + 2 meat meal + drinks cost us US$50 which is very reasonable and its worth the food. Very good ambience, fast service (compared to a lot there), very clean and definitely the 'higher' end quality of restaurants in Amman/. For taste, its definitely value for money.

Just need to keep a more alert look out of the signs because its high up above the tall pretty bush that surrounds restaurant.

“Homemade food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

I just have to say that the food here is very good and tastes like my mum makes at home :-) They have a very nice selection of Arabic foods that will suit all tastes.
