There are some positives and negatives about this hotel.
The first problem is that no taxi driver seems to know where it is located. Tell them it is on Queen Rania Street, opposite Jordan University and behind the McDonalds. (The McDonalds part is key). My taxi driver even called the hotel for directions before we left the airport and we still had to ask for more specifics once we got to the area from someone on the street. My experience with the taxi driver not knowing where the hotel was located was experienced by at least seven other people I spoke to coming from various locations.
My taxi from the airport cost a flat rate of 19 dinar.
The roooms are very spacious. I stayed three nights at this hotel as part of a tour, sharing a room with two others. We had two bedrooms with a separate living room and one bathroom.
The showers leaked in the two different rooms we had. The last day, we had no hot water. Our call to Reception was answered promptly and about 20 minutes later, the mimed answer was that the problem was fixed and that we should leave the water "handle" in the same position. I think the solution though was to crank up the water temperature for the entire hotel. I managed about 60 seconds with the water at the specified setting before it was too hot to endure. There was almost no water pressure with cool water though. Later I learned that others in the group also experienced the only hot water type shower.
Breakfast was typical for Jordan. Some bread, coffee/tea and juice, cucumber, tomato, some meats and cheeses. Nothing special but not bad either.
My biggest complaint about this hotel were the mattresses. I describe it more like they bought a box spring and forgot to buy the mattress to put on top. Fortunately with all the space we had, I quite comfortably slept on the couch for 2 of the 3 nights I stayed there.
The hotel is located out of the downtown area so a taxi will be required to visit any sites or restaurants in the downtown area. There are a number of small markets (for drinks/snacks) across the street and a Subway, McDonalds and Burger King all within a stone's throw of the hotel. The hotel does not offer laundry service, but there are two dry cleaners across the street.
The hotel provides free wi fi - just ask for an access code and password from Reception. The wifi reception was pretty bad though. I often lost the signal and had to keep logging in.
For the start of a tour, this isn't a bad hotel. If your goal is to visit the areas of interest in Amman though, a more downtown location would serve much better.
