Hotel was ok'ish, but didn't like the fact that I was charged 10% extra over my booking.com charge and that I had to pay the full rate in advance. Otherwise, clean rooms, decent location, overall ambience is all right. But a bit expensive.

Warning: If you book this hotel with booking.com or any holding site, the price will be increased by 10% and then compounded by another 8% at the desk. We paid 70JD per night for a double room. They will not budge, no matter how much you argue. They say it is clearly stated on the booking website, but its not abundantly clear, and compounding the taxes is not stated at all.

The good: New hotel with carpeted clean rooms. Excellent AC and nice room. Location is not in Abdoun circle, so it pay cost you 4JD to get there via tax. We paid 2-4 depending on the taxi driver you get. Bell boy and room service people are very nice.

The Reception:
1) Front desk english skills are very very basic and they use that to their advantage. The reception worker Amdoud (incorrect spelling) did not help us find any laundry service in the near by area. We went out twice with our heavy laundry based on his crappy incorrect directions. He showed no empathy and just insisted we use the hotel laundry service (which would of costed 50JD ). We eventually found laundry much closer then he suggested just less than 25 meters away (how does he not know this).

2) Their AMEX machine was not working and they blamed my card based on their excellent deduction skills (sarcasm). After calling AMEX and explaining to them it is not my card, it magically worked. They first claimed that Canadian cards may not work in Jordan, but I also educated them on this.

Overall Hotel Misk is a nice clean building only because it is new. I have no doubt that the administration will ride out its novelty and it will eventually be downgraded hotel. For now, book the Misk and be careful with the advice of the reception. Bell boys are friendly and nice.

Clean, modern, an ok (ish) breakfast - everything is good about the hotel except... the location
No real restaurants around and if you were hoping to hang out in central amman, you will have to take a cab (count 4 to 5 JOD each way).

Clean, modern, well-kept hotel. Great value for money. Comfortable bed, had a great night's sleep. The staff was very caring and helpful. The breakfast was good, and the restaurant food was delicious and well-priced. There is a grocery store (Safeway) nearby where we were able to buy everything from food to toiletries to Dead Sea bath salts. The hotel is not located close to tourist attractions, but a taxi ride in Amman is very cheap. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
