“Wonderfully salivating falafel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

The recommendation by the famous tourist book was absolutely right. What a wonderful experience of eating the juciest falafel with humus etc, and hot hot tea with mint. Very friendly staff, very lively place, and people waiting for you to be done and over with so that they can get the table - but no stressful pushing, take your time - how nice to be there.

“My type of Restaurant....fantastic value for good local fresh food...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

When travelling around, I love to eat at restaurants when the local people eat, and this is definately where the local eat. First night we had the usual set meal, Falafel, springs of mint and sliced tomatoe, hummus and broad bean mush, is the only way to describe it...all fresh....washed down by two mint teas each..7JD......for the meal.....went back a second time and ordered just te large falafels with the sesame seeds on...a much larger salad....for the same price. We then took a walk and went into a side street where they were selling the famous jordanian sweet...2 portions for 2 JD....all in all a very good night...

“Atmosphere plus simple healthy local food - bathed in tradition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

I love the simplicity of this restaurant. They serve one basic traditional meal and they do it well. I think it is great that they have been going since the 1950's and that the King has dined there. I like that the past, present and future kings' portraits dominate the walls. We enjoyed the felafel, hummus, and mint tea. Strongly recommended experience. Go at an off-peak time as it is quite small and must get very busy.

“thanks Hashem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

one of the best foul & falafel spot in Amman I started going to it about 19 years ago whenever I visit my beloved city Amman either for attending a training course at my Academy, for medical chech-ups or family torist tours. we consider it the best in the middle-east area. clear and tasty foul & falafel.

“Quick and Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

LOVED the Foul here! Couldn't find anything quite like it anywhere else in Jordan.

No menus, just sit down and ask for everything: hummus, falafel, foul, a plate of tomatoes/lettuce, and tea afterwards. The whole meal ( with Sprites) cost about 8 dinar-- a BARGAIN.

No highchairs but our daughter was elbow deep in hummus and falafel and didn't seem to care.

Worth the visit! Go to Habibah for dessert and you will have the best meal in Jordan
