“Fantastic seafood!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

I'll admit, I've been in Israel for only a few days, and Goocha may be a 'safe' spot- but it's absolutely worth it! I've been there twice- the service is fantastic- and the food is absolutely incredible! Local Israelis recommended and love the restaurant as well. The grilled calamari and feta appetizer was better than any grilled calamari that I've ever had. The soup does come in a large bowl- but that is the perfect meal to go with an appetizer. The salads are quite generous as well- don't forget to try the bread! The bartender/waiter was friendly and spoke English quite well- he was incredibly accommodating with my struggling Hebrew words. Whether at a table or at the bar, one should definitely go! I'll definitely be back within the next few weeks.

“Overrated”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Terrible waiter, mediocre food. Three of us had one salad and three main courses and none were good. Seafood curry was so salty that it was hard to eat. The waiter refused to have a seafood and vegetable dish put directly on a plate instead of on a bed of mashed potatoes. The potatoes were terrible--and terribly salty--and ruined the food it touched. The waiter served a caesar salad (flavorless, though huge, but maybe Israel is not the place to expect good Caesar salad) and two of the three main courses at the same time and the third quite a while later. Good place to come; we ordered, ate two courses (we were supposedly sharing the salad) and paid in 45 minutes.

“Good Seafood at a good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

I liked the freshness of the food, and the fair pricing. Good place to meet up with friends for lunch

“great place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

I love hanging out at goocha!! excellent seafood, excellent service. Affordable and nice, at a very lovely place on Dizengoff street. Calamari and shrimps are my favorites, although I have to mention a great dinner with crab. Style, atmosphere, price, and better make a reservation or you will have to wait long, together with the crowd, outside the place.

“Food was cold”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Came twice in our stay at tel aviv. Ordered 2 surf and turf plus sides, only 1 main course came out, so we had to wait for the other main to be prepped but we thought the restaurant was worth another try. Second visit food was cold. Service was poor.
