“Great place, great hosts and all at a great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2010

Eden House is a gem of a place, and I don't understand why anyone would give it negative reviews. I stayed there for 2 nights last week and was highly satisfied. Room was clean and pleasant and ideal for my needs. Location in the Yemenite Quarter turned out to be superb, with everything I wanted to visit within walking distance. As for Serge and Michael, I have yet to stay anywhere where the owners were so personally engaged in their business and in providing the best possible experience for their guests. When I emerged from my room at 3 o'clock in the morning to get into the taxi to go to Ben Gurion, Serge was standing bleary eyed on the pavement with the taxi driver to bid me farewell! And all of this at a great price for Tel Aviv.

If you look for a great, very affordable and more than friendly place, thsi is it! We had the best time! The room was spacious and clean, the guys were the most friendly and helpful folks you can think of. It is very central, almost everything in the city is in walking distance and very close to the beach. We can´t wait to return!

I chose Eden House following some of the exuberant recommendations of its visitors and I have to admit that I was not at all disappointed. It offers great value for money, very friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere.

The rooms are very clean and decorated with great taste; features which set Eden House far apart from any other accomodation in Tel Aviv in a similar price range (at least the ones I got to know during my various trips to Israel). The owners, Serge and Michael, very successfully make the place your home away from home. I found them to be always friendy, accomodating and helpful.

The location is perfect: In five minutes you are at the beaches, a few steps take you to busses, shops, and markets, Jaffa is in easy walking distance ... and nevertheless, you will stay in a quiet location. The evening atmosphere on the candle-lit rooftop balcony is tranquil and relaxing - not to be missed.

Next time I visit Israel, I will not hesitate for a moment to choose Eden House again for my accomodation.

This is the second time I stay in this place (the third one I couldn´t because it was full).

This is a place for independent travelers or people who doesn´t like or have the budget to stay in a hotel.

The rooms are very clean and with nice decoration.

The place is located in a nice and safety area. Very closed from big avenues for transportation.

The owners are great people who welcomes you and give you great tips for local places hardly a tourist guide will have and restaurants according to your likes and budget!

You totally feel like HOME!!

We were, unfortunately, totally booked for your third attempt for staying with us, but hopefully your 4th visit to Tel Aviv will bring you to Kehilat Eden street.
We expect that and looking forward to it very much!

After a not so good choice one year earlier, I discovered this wonderful place on my second trip to TLV. First of all, I like apartments, because enjoy privacy and independence, while on the road. Here you have your own key and can do exactly as you please. The location is right on, close to the beach and close to Allenby Street, one of the most happening places. Right next to the venue is carmel market, which is fantastic for fetching breakfast.
And Eden House is the best value for money i could find in TLV. The rooms are tasteful furnished and very clean. There is a large Terrace if you want to hang out with fellow travelers. The hosts Serge and Michael are living across the street and if you have any question, they have the answers...the cheapest rental car, the best restaurant, the best way around...right on.
If you like chichi-free but cordial, this is it. If not, get poor in the hilton...

small, nice hostel at a very reasonable price!
situated in one of the most authentic quarters of tel aviv (close to carmel market and one of the best hummus-joints in town!!).
unbeatable: the charming hosts michael and serge made us feel embraced as friends and generously shared their inside knowledge of tel aviv.
we will be glad to return soon!
ps. watch their facebook-profile!!

Thanks for your post!
Well, we always have ideas how to makes someone save some money, the way only locals know! where to buy a return ticket for the bus (10% off, and you get be back in TLV!), how to get to the airport cheaply, by train or by our taxi service, and sometimes we can recommend free entrance to places, tours and shops that are running a sale!
So sure, we believe in nice prices and we join you on this one!

Serge and Micheal, the owners, are very nice.
The place, is small but very familiar, and the location is the most suggestive of TLV, close to the beach and to the market.
I strongly recommend the stay!
