“Awesome place, great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

I had an awesome stay -- I was so pleased with the high level of quality at Eden House (the entire staff at the desk is really amazing) that I cannot say enough good things about it. Great location, too. Near the beach and some fantastic restaurants. It's really great. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We stayed at the guest house. The room was large, clean, and cool with a wonderful outside space with a talbe and chairs to enjoy breakfast or to hang in the evening with a cup of coffee. The staff are fantastic! They are always eager to help, with enthusiasm, warmth, and kindness. Seriously better than any 5 star hotel that we have stayed. The location was perfect-walking distance to the market, the beach, wonderful restaurants. The restaurant in the main building of the hotel was a slice of heaven. Lovely ambience, everything was served with impeccable pride. The chef happily accommodates any dietary requests. The soy lattes were perfection! Highly recommend Eden. We will be back!

Room Tip: Speak with the front desk, let them know what you need and they will advise accordingly

They did not have rooms available in the main building, so we booked the "guest house". Big mistake!

The cons: the rooms! The first room we were given was so small, it barely had room for our bags on the floor. How they could possibly say the room was appropriate for 2 people was a joke. Also, there was still garbage under the bed and around the room from the previous guests. Additionally the room window would not lock. So we requested another room which they accommodated. We were then moved to a room at the top of a very narrow, spiral staircase which was bigger but still a bit on the backpacker vibe. The bathroom (literally) was also the shower - there was no separation. This meant that when you showered, you had to take the toilet paper out of the bathroom to be sure it didn't get wet. Also, the hot water heater was right by the toilet and if you leaned forward while sitting there, you would hit your head on it. Ridiculous!

The pros: the staff was super friendly and helpful and the location is very close to the market and beach.

Note: there are no safes in any of the guesthouse rooms. So we had to keep taking our valuable to the main office to be locked up. They have several guest houses around the area, so if you happen to be at one that is a few blocks away, this can be pretty annoying.

Dear friend,
Thank you for your review. It is always helpful to hear such a review, so we can improve our service.

As you mentioned, you booked and stayed in an economy room which is 12 sqr meter (the size mentioned on the site you booked from). For some, the size of the room is fine, others find it small. The Eden House TLV is a guest house, an Inn and not an hotel. This is the reason that the prices suit the compensation, why there is no safe in the room (we have main safe in the main building and we offer our guest to use it as a free service).

We see in cleaning a great principle and after you found dirt under the bed, we transfer and upgrade you immediately to a different kind of room, free of charge of course (if we had an option we even would have upgrade you to the boutique hotel which was full).

Our staff is doing the best to provide the best service and thank you for mentioning that as well.

Best Regards,
Eden House TLV

Eden house is a little gem of an oasis hidden down a small street in a convenient neighborhood. Was wonderful having the Carmel market two minute walk away.
I loved it here and only regretted I didn't have more time to spend there. The room was clean and modern, with a cozy private patio and a rooftop terrace that was lovely for evening chilling. The staff was over the top friendly, accommodating and helpful. Will definitely stay here anytime aim in Israel and am sending my Israeli friends to stay there too.

- The staff is so friendly and helpful.
- The apartment we rented was clean and chic.
- The decor is lovely and inviting.
- Service is super organized.
- Eden House offers a array of services that other hostels don't such as taxi call up, directions/rec.s around the city, a delightful little cafe area and excellent concierge service.

Room Tip: Apartments are cozy and quiet.

What a great place. First off, the location is ideal -- two blocks from the Carmel market, shenkin street, and the beach. It is also very close to the neighborhood of Neve Tzedek and a 15 minute walk from the port of Jaffa. The actual hotel is great with extremely comfortable rooms and a roof deck which is a very nice place to read on. The wifi is great as is the cable an AC - everything one needs. The breakfast is a real treat with excellent food in a very nice setting. The service at the hotel is among the best of my recent travels with a warm staff that is eager to help and give travel advice. I will be planning on staying here upon my return to Tel Aviv, no doubt.

Eden House manages to make you feel like you're in a five star boutique hotel while still offering modest rooms at modest prices (for TLV).

The staff cannot be flawed - not only did they check me in as early as possible after a long flight, carry my bags like true concierge despite my choice of the most basic room they have, provide endless directions and assistance on travel plans, but they were so warm and friendly that they made me feel like I had friends in a city I'd never been to before.

The location of Eden House is ideal - a couple of minutes in each direction (through cobbled laneways) to the beach, Carmen Market, and the cafes and shops of the Yemenite Quarter.

The Eden House lobby, reception and restaurant are utterly gorgeous - designed with romance in mind. My room (as I said, the cheapest private room they offer) was very simple but perfectly comfortable: a bed with fresh linen, sink with tea and coffee facilities and fridge, small balcony. The air conditioner was noisy and the bathroom was very small, but more than adequate in a city where $100/night doesn't go very far.
