“Simple, comfortable, convenient”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

I selected this hotel based on a recommendation from friends for a brief 2 night stay in Tel Aviv. I stayed in a single room and not a suite. The location was steps from the beach. The staff was very friendly and very helpful in providing suggestions and directions. This is not a fancy hotel but was very comfortable, very clean and just what was needed for a brief stay where I planned to spend most of my time out and about. A light continental breakfast was included in the room price. One word of warning, the shower stall was quite small. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

We have stayed in this hotel several times in the past few years, from two to three weeks at a time. The hotel is located across the street from the beach next to the tayelet (boardwalk / promenade), which has lots of restaurants and activities day and evening. It is within walking distance to old Yafo, Tel Aviv center, Nachalat Binyamin (pedestrian street that features arts and crafts), the shuk (market), and the Tel Aviv Port (north of the city with plenty of restaurants and shops). Breakfast is provided every morning in the lobby which overlooks the sea. Even though the breakfast is not the typical Israeli full spread breakfast, it is good, plentiful and tasty. Steamy coffee and tea are available 24 hours. The suites include a living room, a separate bedroom and a small balcony. They are air-conditioned, nicely furnished with 2 TVs, clean and include free Wifi, which is a huge plus. A small refrigerator, microwave and dishes are also provided. Covered parking on the premises is available to the guests; this is an added benefit since it is very difficult to find parking in Tel Aviv. The hotel staff is the best—they are extremely friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

I stayed here with my family for two weeks, and it was fantastic! Abratel has a prime location next to a good shore in Tel Aviv, a delicious complimentary breakfast every morning that includes eggs, vegetables, cheeses, breads, yogurt and delicious danishes as well! There is a great espresso machine, with hot chocolate and teas, that is also accessible and available to hotel guests. This was a small detail that made coming back for a long day of traveling really pleasant. The rooms were cleaned every day and were nicely furnished. The hotel also has parking for those who have rented a car. What really gives Abratel 5 stars is the hotel personnel and owner - they are so sweet and personable. We are already looking forward to our next stay here!

Near the beach and local commerce. Excellent acommodations with TV in living room and bedroom. Little kitchen. Good air conditioning. Plenty of closets. Sofa can turn into a comfortable bed. Friendly and very helpful staff. Parking. Fast wi-fi internet access included. Very nice breakfast (although the same everyday, there are enough options). Would definitely be there again.

Room Tip: If you choose a room on the south (street) side, you will get a wonderful beach and sunset views.

We stayed at Abrarel May 13-18, 2012. The hotel was very clean, personnel was very helpful and cheerful. Some cleaning ladies spoke Russian, but the majority of staff is French and English speaking. Rooms are rather large. Our suite had three sections: small kitchen and living room, bedroom and bathroom. Our delegation engaged 7 rooms, both suites and double occupancy rooms, and everyone was happy with the service. Many rooms had a sea view. Breakfast included the same set of food from day to day, and consisted of cottage cheese, cereal, yogurt, fruits, vegetables. Tea and coffee are available for free in the room as well as in the lobby. The beach and promenade are is just steps away. taxies are in front of the hotel and provide reliable rates. There are several good groceries and change in the neighborhood. WiFi was free and available in every room. I highly recommend staying at Abratel hotel! Pictures are totally true.

Location is good, rooms are nice and clean. Some rooms tend to have small windows though. People are very friendly.

The only real downside is the breakfast. Every day the same choice between boiled eggs, 2 sorts of cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, olives, apples, some yoghurt, oranges and some kind of cereals. That's it.

We decided to have breakfast somewhere else...

Roni is a wonderful person that will put himself at your disposal to let you enjoy Tel aviv. The hotel is small, with a few double room and small studios. Close to the main bar/restaurants area, close to neve tsedek, and also close to the beach (you just have to cross the road). The breakfast is fine, the only thing I would ask is to change the coffee machine for a new one (that can make chocolate too). Free parking space for your car (that's very important).
