Very clean. Front desk staff was very helpful - with directions, recommendations on restaurants and tours. The breakfast was very good - not as much selection as the larger hotels, but the quality was as good or better.
The rooms are small - not a shock as compared to typical big city hotels, but they are much smaller than is availible at the larger beachfront hotels in Tel Aviv. I also stayed at the Renaissance and the room was much larger, especially the bathroom and shower.
The shower at the De La Mer is like a phone booth (if anyone remembers those). I was in the smallest room, a single - so I am sure there are slightly larger rooms available.
Location is just off the beach - a short walk across the street - and overall the hotel is centrally located.
The price was about half of the Renaissance. If you want a large room, big lobby and in-house bar, then stay elsewhere. If you want a friendly, clean hotel with a good breakfast and are not spending time in the room - this is a good choice.

Clean small rooms (by American Standards), very helpful staff, 50 yards from the beach, great breakfast, reasonable rates. Plan to stay there again.

IThis was my first visit to Israel and I am pleased to say that arriving at the De la mer was an oasis at the end of a trying trip. The staff were helpful and friendly I stayed two nights and was booked to return for another night however due to a mix up in my dates I was unable to stay for the third night. The staff looked after a bag for me and even thought I did not stay the third night did not object to keeping my bag. I was very appreciative of this as it showed service which stood out during my 14days in Israel. I would recommend the hotel and in particular have high praise for the staff who work there.An added bonus was the great breakfast.

The hotel was in a great location in Tel Aviv. The rooms were small but adequate. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast. It was wonderful!
