Description: The new Aria restaurant, which recently opened its doors to the public, is a contemporary chef bistro. The restaurant menu was created by Chef Guy Gamzu, which is considered amongst one of the promising young chefs of Tel Aviv. Gamzu offers a light meticulous menu, with a variety of dishes playfully created from the best raw materials

“Not what we expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant is nice, the food as well but somehow all together it's disappointing. On the whole, service, food atmosphere and all try very hard to be pleasing the the finest French restaurant but it ends up missed. The Chef has a heavy hand on the sauces, everything sounds French school and yet you feel its old school. The ambient looks romantic but also not quite it. The service tried hard but they as well were averege in delivering. I expected more.

nicely decorated, great cocktails, good food.

“Great food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

I should have written this earlier, but we visited Israel in June 2013, and this is the only restaurant in our 2 week stay that I remember for really great food. We dined on the early side (about 7pm) since we were still jet lagged and the restaurant was not full at that time--midweek. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.

“Choose one to visit wisely!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Went to Aria several times in the past, but the last one was the best.
Was sitting in the 1st floor, which is the bar on a date. Got there kinda late, around 23:00, and found out that a soul singer and a band was playing - and they were absolutley amazing, funny and entertaining.
Also, drank 2 cocktails which i already know that are among the best of Aria's cocktail menu:
Singapore sling - made here with bombay sapphire, fresh ginger and topped with a cherry-ginger foam.
Bees Knees - Same as the classic but with a twist - appelton rum infused with butter - delicious! and great for the sweet tooth.
Didn't try the food - but the word has gone out that it's great.

To conclude - check on Aria's facebook page to see who's playing each evening of the week. i found out that if the music is good - the crowd tends o be better.
Reccomended for the cocktails, the music and the decor which is definitly one of the prettiest in Tel-Aviv.
Thanks to our bartender Dan, which was great as always.

“extraordinary kitchen, but probably will not be returning....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

I have spent the last 48 hours trying to think of how to write this clearly. In the last two days, my concept of what defines a great restaurant has also come under scrutiny. Let me start by saying that the food was wonderful....the menu interesting and different, the presentation lovely, and I am sorry that I will not be able to return to try all the wonderful things on this menu. The tables for three include what I can only describe as a baby type of high chair in stark HARD wood, beyond uncomfortable, not that my dining companion's chairs were any better. The tables were painted white, ultra cold,a true monstrosity, with no table coverings, so a bit like a cheap grill house, and they kept coming to wipe off the tables with a moist cloth. The lighting consists of spotlights so bright that my daughter wanted to break out in song, it felt like the stage at Habima, but I guess she was lucky as other tables were totally in the dark. The music was annoying and way too loud to be able to carry on even a polite conversation. I can only tell you...as outstanding as the food was...we couldn't WAIT to get the check and leave!!! I am so sorry for this restaurant as they obviously spent money on the decor....but the "hype" is off and the person who designed this should be brought in front of a firing squad!!!
