“For History Buffs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

Very through survey of the military history of pre-state Israel. Very good collection of early to mid-20th century small arms.

“imortant museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2012

Anachronistic but cute and interesting. Ask specific help with the English sound/ translation and to watch the 20 min film and the "audio visual" in the end.

“need to try to hit that if u r interested in history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

the history of independence of isr reads like a fantastic novel-if u love history and things that deal with military/ intrigues/ warfare etc-u gota try to make this museum. Isr has the most museums per ca pita so its not an easy pick.

“Worth checking out, no matter what your views”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2011

No matter what your views are on the Middle East conflict - and I have very strong views indeed - the Hagana Museum is worth checking out. It's far more well done and accessible than the nearby IDF History Museum (which is really only for military hardware buffs), with multimedia displays, videos, and all sorts of neat bells and whistles. Naturally only the Israeli narrative is presented - you couldn't expect anything else - and depending on your views, there will be numerous occasions for raised eyebrows. But underneath the Tel Aviv facade of normalcy, israel is fundamentally a nation constantly at war, so seeing this kind of thing is also part of the experience. Worth a visit.
