Just returned from one week stay at Marina in Tel Aviv. This was the package deal paid in advance otherwise we would be moving to another hotel. Front desk people were not really accomodating and plain rude, manager was never found, between English and Russian were we able to communicate with not a word of Hebrew. Almost all wake up calls were at a wrong time (asked 5:45 AM received 6:00 AM). Once Do not Disturb sign on the room was ignored by maid and room was done. We do have to use a Postal Facility and for 5 days nobody on front desk could help us with address of closest branch(no Yellow Pages could be found around). Food was OK both in the morning and at night buffet style and the person in charge of the kitchen was really great and very helpfull(she finally provided us with address of Postal office). One complain from the food place - no coffee or tea with the Dinner only water . Room was OK nothing special the fifth floor is non-smoking rooms only you cannot make your coffee or tea in the room. I saw rating of 4 stars for this hotel it is indeed 2 stars only in my book. In the future if I will be in the Tel Aviv again Mercure Marina will not be my choice.
