This is the site where Israel declared it's independence and statehood. They have preserved the hall just as it was when David Ben-Gurion stood under the portrait of Hertzl on May 14, 1948. There is a 20 minute movie in a separate room, then the hall itself. That's it. There is an admission fee that ONLY makes sense if it includes the adjacent Bible Museum - which is currently closed for renovations. So, until the Bible Museum reopens, be prepared to pay an admission fee to look at a room. An important room, but still.
