“They need to refigure this museum”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

We discussed with one of the tour guides that they need to orient visitors. We were not offered audio eqpt and had to go back for them. Also I'd recommend one begin on the 3rd, top floor for a good Jewish timeline before seeing the all too familiar exhibits on Floor 2. They will be remodelling the museum in the future, but these tips can help make the visit more valuable at present

“old museum, new redo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

Israel is a country of people from all over the planet who have come back to an ancient homeland. the museum tells the two millennium story of their sojourns all over the world. the first time I saw the place, it told the story well.
The redo with new techniques displays & interactive exhibits tells the story better & engages you.
there is a genealogy section & kid friendly projects.
Enjoy & learn

“Important background information”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

If you are visiting Israel and are interested in finding out more about the Jewish people, this museum is a must. In about six stations ,each looking at another aspect of Jewish life, the faith and traditions and the way Jews lived in the Diaspora for over 2000 years it will give you the background to what makes Israel "tick"

“Diaspora Museum with Kids”

Went with my 12-year-old son. He found it moving, particularly as it illustrates the whole history of the Jewish people.
