“Sad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Unfortunately, this museum is falling apart. We were very much looking forward to the exhibit on the diaspora, but the information was poorly displayed. We feel like we learned more about the diaspora from wikipedia than the museum. None of the interactive stations work. Best part was an amazing artist's sculpture, but unfortunately even the plaque explaining it was missing letters.

“A family museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

Our grandchildren were entranced with the minature temples both old and new from all over the world; the cultural aspects of the Jewish people over the ages is very asthetically displayed.

“We revisited Beit Hatfutsot (TelAviv) and enjoyed a new exhibition about Bukhara”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Beit Hatfutsot is really a unique place for us, so we just keep coming every couple of years. Last week we once again had a chance to explore the permanent exhibition, with all the wonderful synagogue miniatures.

But mostly we love the new exhibition about the Jews of Bukhara.

Our grandchildren had a great time at the "ABAGADA" gallery for children, which is like a playground with attractions and fun games about the Hebrew language.

“A very nice museum of Jewish history.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

This is a great museum, especially if you have a Jewish ancestry in your family.
Other than the interesting exhibits about the Jewish diaspora, the museum also serves as a research center for family trees (you can enter you last name and see where your Jewish ancestors came from).
While the museum itself might be considered a tad dated, it's still a very nicely laid out museum.
highly recommended if you're into Jewish history.
