“Great Location and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012 via mobile

I  recently stayed at Herods, Tel Aviv for the first time and feel compelled to write and express my gratitude for the positive experience I had. From the welcome juice upon arrival to the beatiful room with a balcony, I was thoroughly pleased.

I would like to especially recognize Yossi in Guest Relations who took the initiative not only to wish me a good evening, but in my opinion, went above and beyond when he went out of his way to show me where I could access internet when he saw me looking a little lost.

I am flight crew and stay in many hotels all over the world.  It has been a while since a hotel staff member has approached me on their own accord to offer assistance and I greatly appreciate it.

In addition, hotel is in an ideal beach location.

I was delighted to stay at this hotel on business for three days. The location was fantastic and was on the beach which is excellent for relaxing. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The hotel is in good condition and very clean and because we had access to the club lounge this made my stay more pleasurable. i would stay in this hotel again,

A comfortable hotel in a city with lots of mediocre places. A price which matches European prices for a decent hotel. What I liked about Herods was that it is in very good condition and the decor is pleasant and luxurious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't have a large footprint but is 18 floors high, the lounge on the top floor affords great views over Tel Aviv. The pool is good for cooling off and gets some shade in the afternoon. Bed loungers and towels etc included, quick access to the beach. The breakfast buffet was massive and very diverse and was a highlight. Overall: good service, good hotel, great breakfast, great location. Would definitely come back. I actually have no negative comments at all, which is rare but very nice. Have fun.

Room Tip: The higher the better because there is a bit of traffic on the road below. But nothing outrageous an...

I had the pleasure of staying at the Herods Tel Aviv for two days this month. Check in was a breeze and the room was ready and as promised. It was quiet and dark for sleeping in the day time. The hotel is right on the beach which is excellent for a walk or swim. There are numerous clubs and resturants within easy walking distance and the executive lounge in the Herods hotel is excellent as it is staffed with very congenial people. I met Hila Ramont and Danit Mitchell working there and their efforts to make us comfortable were efficent and friendly. The food and drink was also top notch. Anyway as I titled this review the people at Harods make the difference and Hila and Danit were two examples of the best.
Thanks for the pleasant stay.
Sincerely,
Dane

Room Tip: A view of the ocean and the beach is available from all the rooms.

Staying at Herod's Tel Aviv has always been a very enjoyable experience for me. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly greeted by a bellman in a wonderful 1930's British Safari looking outfit, to entering the old Tel Aviv Boardwalk style tree lined lobby leading to a breathtaking picture window view of the Mediterranean. There will be more warm welcomes from the General Manager Gal, along with the rest of the friendly staff. Throughout your entire stay you can call upon one of their multilingual manager's, Tom. He is the epitome of a true professional. He will work very hard to accommodate any customer's needs no matter how small the request. My career demands me to live a major part of my life in hotels all over the world and I have never come across an employee who has this ability with such kindness, patience and attentiveness. Denis, one of their concierge booked a wonderful private tour of Jerusalem and Bethlehem for my associates and I. I highly recommend it. If you are looking to experience the amazing nightlife then Gilad will do his best to book a table for you at one of Tel Aviv's happening clubs. After that late night, breakfast is worth waking up for with many fresh and delicious selections to choose from including an omelet station where she will custom make your omelet, and definitely don't forget to stop by the cappuccino bar where they will hand make each cup and top it off with a delicate heart design made especially for you. My favorite part of this hotel is its location. Herods is right on the beach and each room will have a balcony with an incredible ocean view. There are many wonderful nearby restaurants you can walk to in minutes where you can sit outside and dine while taking in Tel Aviv's beautiful sunsets, and if you want you can take your shoes off and enjoy this experience with your table right in the sand. Most of these restaurants are open during Shabbat which has been a plus for me. I always hate leaving Tel Aviv but when you do, Alex will take care of your check out with a smile and nice presentation. I highly recommend staying at Herods in Tel Aviv. You will be glad you did.

I've stayed at hotels around the world and all I have to say about Herods Tel Aviv is Wow! From the cleanliness and coziness of the suite my friends and I shared to the warm hospitality from the staff at the hotel, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The management is superior. Merav, especially treated us like we were at home and comfortable with our stay at all times. She was incredibly friendly and demonstrated customer service to another level. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, luxurious, well-accomadated place to stay in Tel Aviv right on the beach, Herods is the place!

They put so much money into making the lobby (and the restaurant) lovely with windows overlooking the Mediterrean that they totally forgot about the rooms. Our first room had a broken shower head soaking the entire bathroom and all our stuff. The hotel switched us to a better room (meaning a King size bed instead of two twins pushed together), which was just as dirty and old as the other room. Who knows when the carpet was last cleaned and the pillows were disgusting. The halls smelled of smoke, which they masked with some weird vanilla scent. We were traveling with our teenage son and they had no rooms that had three beds so he had to sleep on a cot. The breakfast was substantial and good. Very poor customer service. There are bunch of other hotels on this same street perhaps some of them are better.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor that has an ocean view. Avoid rooms near the elevator.
